Paris Steak Wars, presented by Iron Communities in partnership with South Main Iron, raised a total of $30,121.86 for the Boys and Girls Club of the Red River Valley.
The event is only in year two and has already doubled its donation after raising more than $15,000 in 2021. The unique event presents a prime opportunity to try ribeye steak from more than 20 teams, enjoy live music and great company throughout the day in downtown Paris, Texas.
“We are always so humbled by the amazing support from the Paris community,” said Kris Estep, Director of Operations at South Main Iron. “With the expansion of Paris Steak Wars and support from all of our incredible sponsors we were able to host and even larger event this year. South Main Iron is honored to have the opportunity to host this event each year. We look forward to next year’s Paris Steak Wars. Thank you Paris, and our surrounding area for supporting events like these.”
First Place Winner, Weber Ninja of Sulphur Springs, took home the $1,000 Grand Prize and Trophy.
Lone Star Ag-Credit took home runner-up and third place was our very own Paris Police Department. Although last years champion didn’t claim his title, Tableleaf, was proud to take home the People’s Choice Award. A new addition to the event was the Appetizer Round and was won by Kearney Electrical Systems with an Aloha Kebab.
South Main Street was packed with attendees and teams serving up more than appetizers and 880 Prime Ribeyes from David’s Meat Market.
On behalf of the boys and girls club of the Red River Valley, I would like to say thank you to South Main Iron and everyone involved in for organizing Steak Wars,” said Board President Montgomery Moore. “We would also like to sincerely thank everyone who came out to the event and the teams who entered the competition. The Boys and Girls Club will use all of the $31+ thousand dollars to help the youth in our area.”
Paris Steak Wars 2023 is slated for April 7-8 and sponsorships are now being accepted. Contact kris@southmainiron.com for more information.
