Paris, Texas – Iron Communities, the presenting board of Paris Steak Wars, is thrilled to announce The Downtown Food Pantry as the 2025 beneficiary. Brought to you by South Main Iron, Paris Steak Wars is set to sizzle up the Love Civic Center on April 4-5, 2025.
Since its inception in 2021, Paris Steak Wars has beefed up its community contributions, raising over $100,000 for the Boys and Girls Club of the Red River Valley. With growing interest, the board opened applications for the program in October and, on November 3, announced The Downtown Food Pantry as the 2025 Beneficiary.
“We are thankful to the Boys and Girls Club for their partnership with Paris Steak Wars over the last four years,” said Lea Emerson, Vice President of Iron Communities. “They are an integral part of our community, and the services they provide are incomparable. As we continue to grow the beneficiary program, we look forward to connecting with other nonprofits and expanding our reach in new ways.”Since 2009, the Downtown Food Pantry has served Paris and Lamar County by providing groceries free of charge to those in need. The pantry is headquartered in downtown Paris, with three satellite locations across the county.
The Downtown Food Pantry Executive Director, Allan Hubbard, said, “We’re incredibly honored to be chosen. For 15 years, we’ve refrained from large-scale fundraising events, but the respect and quality surrounding Paris Steak Wars made it an easy ‘yes’ for us. We expect a record turnout and look forward to an event that truly improves our community’s quality of life.”
President of Iron Communities, Kris Estep, added, “We’re looking forward to partnering with The Downtown Food Pantry for 2025. We’ve seen incredible support from the community over the last four years, and this event continues to grow. We can’t wait for another fun, successful event!”
